1. Purpose
Tacswap is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional online marketplace.
This Harassment Policy defines the standards of acceptable conduct for all interactions on our platform—whether through public listing comments, group posts, or private direct messages (DMs)—and outlines how harassment is addressed, investigated, and resolved.
Our goal is to ensure that every User can participate without fear of intimidation, abuse, or discrimination.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all Users of the Tacswap Service, including buyers, sellers, commenters, and community participants.
It governs conduct within the following areas:
- Public listing comments on Tacswap and any related subdomains
- Posts or comments made within Tacswap Groups
- Feedback and rating features
- Private messaging (DMs) via Tacswap
- Any other User-to-User communication facilitated by Tacswap
- Off-platform communications that originate from or are directly related to a Tacswap listing, interaction, or transaction
3. Definitions
- Harassment: Any unwanted, offensive, threatening, or abusive behavior directed at another person.
- Bullying: Repeated and deliberate misuse of power, position, or influence to intimidate, humiliate, or mistreat another User.
- Hate Behavior: Harassment or discrimination based on protected characteristics (e.g., race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected status).
- Threats / Violence: Any direct or indirect expression of intent to physically, emotionally, or reputationally harm someone.
- Stalking / Persistent Contact: Repeated or obsessive communication after being asked to stop, or monitoring another User’s activity in a harassing manner.
- Doxxing: Publishing or distributing private or identifying information about a User without their consent.
- Impersonation: Creating fake accounts or misrepresenting affiliation to deceive, harass, or target another User.
4. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not engage in or facilitate any of the following activities:
- Verbal abuse, insults, demeaning, or dehumanizing remarks in comments or messages
- Harassment, stalking, or intimidation of another User
- Hate speech or discriminatory behavior of any kind
- Encouraging, organizing, or praising harassment of another individual or group
- Posting or sharing private or identifying information (doxxing)
- Unwanted or repeated contact after being asked to stop
- Using any Tacswap feature (comments, feedback, listings, DMs) to harass, threaten, or interfere with another User’s ability to use the platform
- Impersonating another User, brand, or representative to deceive or cause harm
- Coordinating with others to target or harass a specific User
- Engaging in retaliation against any User who reports harassment or cooperates in an investigation.
- Creating alternate or duplicate accounts to evade moderation actions or continue harassment.
5. Reporting and Moderation
If you experience or witness harassment, please report it by submitting a support ticket through Tacswap.
Include as much detail as possible: the User name, date/time, communication medium (comment, group post, or DM), and screenshots or text excerpts.
Tacswap’s moderation team will review all reports promptly and may take appropriate action, including but not limited to:
- Warning the offending User
- Temporarily suspending commenting or messaging privileges
- Removing or hiding offensive content
- Full account suspension or termination
- Moderator Discretion: Tacswap reserves the right to determine what constitutes harassment, based on the context and overall impact of the behavior.
- Law Enforcement: In cases involving credible threats, stalking, or criminal behavior, Tacswap may report the matter to law enforcement and provide relevant account data as required by law.
6. Consequences
Violations of this policy may result in one or more of the following:
- Removal of offending content
- Temporary or permanent restriction of communication features
- Suspension or termination of the User’s account
- Loss of feedback, rating, or transaction privileges
- Referral to law enforcement (in cases of credible threats, stalking, or other illegal activity)
- Revocation of membership or access rights
- Tacswap reserves the right to deny future access or re-registration to any User found to have engaged in harassment or abuse, even under a different account.
7. Preventive Measures & User Responsibilities
All Users share responsibility for maintaining a respectful community. Tacswap encourages Users to:
- Conduct themselves with professionalism and courtesy at all times
- Use block or hide features to prevent unwanted contact
- Refrain from sharing personal contact information publicly unless necessary
- Treat others respectfully, even during disputes or competitive transactions
8. Privacy & Data Protection
Tacswap will handle harassment reports confidentially to the extent possible.
Information about the parties involved will only be shared when required for investigation, enforcement, or as legally mandated (e.g., law enforcement requests).
All personal data collected during investigations will be handled in accordance with Tacswap’s Privacy Policy.
9. Policy Changes
Tacswap may amend or update this Harassment Policy at any time.
The latest version will always be available on the Support site. By continuing to use the Service, Users agree to comply with the most current version of this policy.
