Tacswap tracks views and impressions to help you understand how often other users are seeing and engaging with your listings.

What's the Difference Between a View and an Impression?

Impressions

An impression is counted when at least 50% of your listing card is visible on someone's screen for at least 0.5 seconds.

Listings that appear below the visible area of the screen or are scrolled past too quickly do not count as impressions.

Views

A view is counted when someone opens your listing's individual page and it is displayed on their screen.

Where Are Impressions Counted?

Impressions are tracked when your listing appears in the following areas of Tacswap:

• Main Feed

• Category Pages

• Search Results

• Following Tab

• Saved Tab

• Seller Profiles

How Often Are Views and Impressions Counted?

To keep engagement metrics accurate, Tacswap uses a 30-minute counting window.

If the same person sees or opens the same listing multiple times within 30 minutes, only the first qualifying impression and the first qualifying view are counted.

Views and impressions are tracked separately, meaning someone can generate both an impression and a view for the same listing.

Do My Own Views Count?

No. When you're logged into your Tacswap account, viewing your own listings will not increase their view or impression counts.

Do Visitors Without Accounts Count?

Yes. Visitors who aren't logged in or don't have a Tacswap account can still generate views and impressions. Their activity is counted using the same rules as registered users.

Are Promoted Listings Counted Differently?

No. Promoted listings follow the same view and impression counting rules as regular listings.
